Walsall are expected to make changes for the visit of Wycombe in the LDV. Although Walsall want to make progress in the competition the league must take priority at this stage of December with the busy schedule facing us.

Andy Oakes has recovered from his wrist ligament damage and may start in the place of Joe Murphy who could be rested so Oakes can get competitive action to aid his sharpness. Michael Standing is also nearing full fitness while Mark Kinsella who returned to the bench on Saturday might be given a start so Simon Osborn can be given the night off to protect his hamstring which has caused him problems this season.

Jorge Leitao returns from suspension while Ishmel Demontagnac serves the 2nd of his 3 match ban. Alex Nicholls made his first team debut against Hartlepool and may retain his place.

Walsall manager Paul Merson has stated that we should expect changes but predicting Walsalls formation let alone playing personel this season has proved difficult even when it seems straight forward so anything can happen with the team sheet against Wycombe!

Wycombe will enter the game looking for a League One Scalp. They suffered their first league defeat at the weekend when they lost 2-1 away to Bury. They are also expected to make changes but they are enforced ones. Goalkeeper Frank Talia is struggling with a shoulder injury. Ex-Newcastle United midfielder Rob Lee is doubtful along with Spanish midfielder Sergio Torres. Manager John Gorman has added youngsters Ikechi Anja, james Faulkner and Steven Gregory to the squad.
