Zidanes Huddersfield Preview

Walsall face a very tricky away trip to Huddersfield who currently lie in third place. Walsall have only one win in six and have many injury headaches for the game.

Walsall team News

Walsall have Daryll Taylor, Darren Wrack, Paul Merson, Andy Oakes, Simon Gillett, Michael Standing, Mark Wright and Anthony Gerrard all definately out injured. Simon Osborn is also out with a one match suspension.  All of these would of been involved in the 16 if fit.

Craig Pead is rated as 50/50

Paul Smith, Jorge Leitao, Steve Staunton and Julian Bennett are all coming back from injuries of varying proportions and should be availiable for selection.

Kris taylor is likely to be recalled to the first team. Ishmael Demontagnac is likely to start but may drop back into left midfield.

Huddlesfield Team News

Unlike Walsall Huddersfield have nearly a full squad to choose from. Only Danny Schofield, Martin McIntosh and Lee Fowler are missing. Pawel Abbot started last week on the bench but is expected to be back after regaining fitness after illness.

Danger Man

Three words describe Pawel Abbot - ABSOLUTE GOAL MACHINE! He has already scored 9 goals this season, the striker has a career scoring record that is second to none with 49 goals in 89 games! As stated above he has been laid low with illness and hasnt scored in his last coulple of outings but his 50th goal will come and probably against us, to be honest you wouldnt bet against it.

Prediction

I must admit if Walsall come away with anything they have done very, very well. Last season was a 3-1 reverse and in fairness we could be looking at a similar scoreline, especially when considering the injuries we have and the missing influence of Simon Osborn. HOWEVER this is the type of game we get a point from when its unexpected and its the games where we expect to pick up points we dont. Huddlesfield have scored in ever game this season and Wasall have a terrible goals against record. My prediction 0-0!!
