Zidanes Bradford City preview

Last updated : 28 December 2005 By Andy Van Hagen
Walsall look to bounce back from a dissapointing and uninspiring home draw against Tranmere tonight as we head up to Valley Parade 7.45 pm K.O. Bradford have lost their last 3 home games so this is a definate chance to make up for Saturdays lost points. Walsall have asembled a run of 5 unbeaten and we will look to extend this tonight in our 2nd game in 3 days.

Walsall will be boosted from the return from suspension of Ishmel Demontagnac. Before Saturdays game Paul Merson had hinted Ishmel would not instantly return to the starting eleven but with the lack of creativity and outlets on the wing last time out he now looks certain to start. Mark Kinsella may also return with him being rotated with Simon Osborn who might find 2 games in 3 days a bit much given his recent injury troubles. Merson might be tempted to return but this would depend on the progress of his injury that kept him out on Saturday. James Constable looks like he wil drop to the bench after being substituted at half time on Saturday. The back 4 will retain their places fitness permitting after another clean sheet and commanding performances from Gerrard and Roper in particular. Westwood will be waiting in the wings to fill in if needed. Daniel Fox is expected to miss out through injury.

Bradford who will look to avoid a fourth straight defeat might make changes in a bid to freshen things up. Steve Clairidge who is Bradfords second highest scorer with 4 goals this season may move up from the bench. Owen Morrison could also be brought into the team as Bradford look for a change of fortunes. Lee Crooks will sit the game out as he is serving a suspension.

Prediction

Unlucky last season Walsall will fancy their chances of coming away with a result. I feel a draw is the most likely outcome given our previous away record although this is a great chance for maximum away points!!
