Youngster makes his point

Despite conceeding 2 goals in the first half of last night's game against Hull City the Reserve Team came back strongly in the second period and 2 second half goals from Matty Fryatt helped rescue Saddlers a point.

Hull found themselves 2-0 up at the break thanks to Danny Webb. He scored his first goal on 12 minutes with an emphatic header and beat on-loan goalkeeper Shaun Allaway again just before half-time.

Walsall's best chance in the opening period fell to Kris Taylor but his shot hit the crossbar and they didn't find a goal until the 71st minute.

Hull goalkeeper Alan Fettis could only watch as Fryatt dribbled into the area before slotting home and on 75 minutes Fryatt scored again when he bundled the ball into the back of the net from Atieno's header.

Walsall: Allaway; Wright, Caines, Bennett, Aranalde (D. Taylor); Bazeley, K. Taylor, Oakes, Corica (Jameson); Bishop (Atieno), Fryatt.
Subs not used: Smith, Willetts.
