Young Saddler departs on loan

19 year old defender Scott Dann has left Walsall to join Hednsford Town on loan. The youngster has left our League One relegation battle and exchanged it for a Nationwide North relegation battle.

It is the second time the player has been farmed out on loan this season, his previous spell was with Reddich United. He will go straight into the team for Saturdays fixture against Stafford Rangers.

This campaign always looked to be a season whereby Dann would be looking in from the outside in terms of first team juty. At the sart of the season he was behind Julian Bennett, Ian Roper, Chris Westwood, Anthony Gerrard and Steve Staunton in the pecking order. Two of those have now left the club but Pablo Mills has been drafted in as a replacement.

A good loan spell now however could convince the club that he could be considered the 4th choice central defender next season.
