Wright off! Rotherham bound?

Tommy Wright has returned to his parent club Barnsley, earlier than expected. He has not had his deal extended and our manager Dickie Dosh has said he pleased with the options we have up front, at the moment.

After signing for us on loan, Tommy Wright told of his desire to impress so he could earn a permanent deal.

He had a very impresive, goal scoring debut which indicated we had unearthed the player we were looking for. After another important goal away at Boston, Wright in the next game saw a straight red card. This forced him to spend the rest of his loan watching from the sidelines and has resulted in his early return to Barnsley. He was suspended for Monday's game with Grimsby and was unlikely to feature in our trip to Mansfield. By allowing him to go back to Barnsley, it gives Wright the chance to find another club or win back a starting place at Oakwell. This week Wright has been rumoured to be joining Rotherham United.  A signing which seems likely to go through on Monday.
