Wrexham captain's view on defeat at Walsall

After defeat at Walsall ensured Wrexham's survival bid goes to the wire, captain Neil Roberts shared his views on the match with his club's official website www.wrexhamafc.co.uk:

"While we didn't get the result we were looking for today, the positives we take are our previous three performances, which mean we go into next week having given ourselves a fighting chance of staying up.

"If you go back to Easter period, a lot of people would have written us off and even one or two of the players could have been thinking along the same lines.

"Since then we have picked ourselves up and got a new belief in our own ability, which has shone in these last four games.

"This means that Boston will have to come here and beat us. We though will be going into the game wanting to win it and not just draw.

"Today we just missed a little in front of goal. They got that bit of luck when Anthony pulled off that great save, but the ball has run across and dropped for their guy, whereas for us nothing seemed to be dropping in the box.

"We frustrated them in the first half when we more than matched them, but in the second maybe we got a erratic. We were lumping balls forward and the quality does tend to go in those circumstances.

"They got the result and good luck to them. For us, we need to simply get that win next Saturday.

"We have to remember how far we have come in only a few short weeks. From being written off we now have things in our own hands.

"There will be a massive crowd at the Racecourse, which will make for an intimidating atmosphere and we know what we have to do!"
