The Saddlers youth team will be preparing the next stage of their defence of the Midland Youth Cup as they take on Burton Albion in the 2nd Round at the Pirelli Stadium on Monday October 8th.

The tie will mirror an earlier senior squad pre-season friendly, in which the Saddlers took a 2-1 victory in the final weekend before the new season began.

Walsall will be looking to overcome the Brewers in a similar fashion to their Round One fixture, where they dispatched Chasetown in a 5-0 victory. Goals from Josh Craddock, Edward Ryan (2 each) and Cameron Jones provided a comprehensive victory over the Scholars that day. A victory over Hereford United provided Burton's passage through to Round Two.

Mick Halsall's men kick off at the Pirelli at 7:00pm on the 8th October, with admission prices at £5.00 for adults and £3.00 for concessions.
