Walsall to sign two! - Likely candidates

Walsall have announced they will be signing two players tomorrow morning. With the transfer deadline at midnight tonight this means that we will be signing players on loan or who are currently un-attached.

Likely candidates

Dean Keates - Midfielder who needs no introduction who has just been released from Lincon City. He is after a move to a midland club after he put in a transfer request at Lincon because of the long daily commute from his West Midlands home.

Patrick Suffo - Cameroon International who is probably most famous for his part in the Sheffield United Vs West Brom abandonment. It is unlikely to be him as we have arranged a trial game for him against Crewe Alexandra on Wednesday afternoon.

Andrew Borrowman - Birmingham City striker who has been told he will be released should anyone come in for him.

Kenny Cooper - Released from Manchester United today. Big striker who Walsall fans will remember him for scoring from the halfway line against us in pre-season.

Peter Folkes - Ex-Lincon defender who has been at Tamworth so Merson can keep tabs on him. With the injuries to Roper and Westwood we are now short at the back since letting Staunton and Bennett go.

Surely the priority must be a striker but i wouldnt be surprised if it is Keates or Folkes. Kenny Cooper bing released from Manchester United may be a clue though!!
