Ward, a former Aston Villa trainee, has put in a transfer request at Plainmoor.
Walsall are currently in a position where an additional striker is not a priority. Martin Butler and Hector Sam have seen competition for places dramatically increase with the signing of Par Cederqvist and on-loan Tommy Wright. We have recently loaned James Constable to Kidderminster and McDermott to Halesowen Town. However Richard Money is known to be looking for long-term targets.
