Tuesday night round up and updated table

Last updated : 01 March 2006 By Andy Van Hagen
There were three games in League One last night.  The game that most interested Walsall fans was the Port Vale Vs Scunthorpe fixture. Although it was the first game since Robbie Williams cash injection it was unable to inspire Vale to a home win. Scunthorpe recorded their second win on the bounce and to prove just how tight League One presently is - They are now in the top half!! Scunthorpe registered a 2-1 win and now have a biot of breathing space between themselves and the relegation trap door.

In another fixture of interest, Saturdays opponents Bournemouth were held to a 1-1 draw at home by Barnsley. Bournemouth will visit Bescot four points clear of ourselves.

The other game of Tuesday night saw Brentford pick up a 0-0 away at Doncaster Rovers.
