Tamworth V Walsall

Last updated : 25 July 2005 By Stonnall_saddler
So Walsall tonight make a short trip to Tamworth to take on a Tamworth side of the Nationwide conference. Its a step up in class for the Saddlers from our games to date and should be a good benchmark to see how our kids will fair against better opposition. Tamworth held Bristol Rovers to a draw at the weekend.

Prices are £6 Adults and £3 concessions

Players to watch from Tamworth

Tamworth have an ageing yet very expeienced forward line in the shape of Bob Taylor and Julian Allsop. Both well known to us from the Midlands. Bob Taylor spent the majority of his Carrer at West Brom while Julian Allsop is well known from his time at Cheltenham Town. Both will be eager to get on the scoresheet tonight.

Player on form for us

With a team expected to be named comprising mainly of reserves and youth expect Taiwo Atieno to stand out for us. In the recent 2-1 win at Boldmere he was a handfull and bagged a pen. He also notched a hat-trick on Saturday. He is certainly taking his opportunities to show what he can do, however i still believe he will benefit from a loan spell till January at least.

Prediction Tamworth 1 Walsall 2
