Sturrock on win

After he saw his side beat the Saddlers 2-0, Paul Sturrock had this to say to his clubs official webste www.swindontownfc.co.uk:

"We changed the system today and people were thoughtful in their approach. The back four were lot better after some hard work during the week and we simplified our game. We wanted to come here with something different against a Walsall side who had been flying.

"Lukas is a good player and he was a real handful today. Against two strong centrebacks he caused them a lot of problems and I would expect that Lukas would have been our man of the match award today. He was out on his feet after playing on Tuesday. He will get better and better and we kept the ball really well.

"There were a lot of positives from the performance and Michael Timlin read the script as to what we wanted. He had a good game and Zaaboub also put in a solid display.

" was looking for a more offensive performance and we got that overall. Curtis Weston had a lot more efforts today then he has done before.

Playing Walsall, after our last two performances, was a good one for us to have. I hope now that the players appreciate what we are trying to do. It's a good result against a decent team, but we will keep our feet on the ground and now work hard ahead of the Bristol Rovers game next weekend," finished a delighted Town manager."
