Strikers Ousmane Sanou, 26 and Ties Konings, 25, have both joined having previously played together at FC Eindhoven. Sanou, from Burkina Faso, has also played for Willem II and Sparta Rotterdam after spending the last nine years in Holland. Former AZ Alkmaar and Willem II player Taouifik Ameziane is also on trial.

Meanwhile striker Andy Bishop, 20, has turned down a new deal at Bescot and looks set to join York City. "I'm delighted he chose us over Walsall," said player manager Chris Brass. "It just goes to show what we've got going on down here. It's definitely given everyone a lift and he will be a useful addition. He's obviously sat down with Walsall and worked out that a move to York would improve him as a player and help him climb the ladder in the long term. He's certainly got the potential to play at a higher level." Bishop has also spent time on loan at Kidderminster, Rochdale and Yeovil.
