Striker targeted

The Express and Star have reported that Walsall boss Richard Money, is looking for a replacement for the recently departed Andrew Barrowman. Barrowman was released by 'mutual consent' this week and the new Walsall manager has spoken of his desire to quickly bring in a replacement.

In the article Money is quoted

"I'm hoping to sign another striker this week and if the right name becomes available, we'll do it.  We don't have a huge striker and I'm not attempting to sign one. But we will have a group of players who can compete when they need to and play cleverly."

No names have been linked in regards to who the new striker is, but after the fiasco with Paul Merson naming Lee Peacock as his number one target back in January. This can only be a good thing.
