With the departure of DJ Campbell (who was keeping him out of the Brentford side) it was widely expected that he would return to first team action, but Martin Allen has decided to loan him out to Walsall.

The signing will bring experience to the Walsall front line, which is badly needed. Our other strikers are very young and very inexperienced.

The only real surprise is that the signing has been made while we are managerless. Walsall now have no loan signings available because we have now reached our season limit. This means any new manager that arrives will not be allowed to bring any players in to aid our survival.
