Caio, 29, has enjoyed spells with Sao Paulo, Inter Milan, Napoli, Santos, Fluminense & Flamengo CRF and Gremio. He has been capped 14 times by his country and will be on trial with Walsall next week, revealed Saddlers’ player - boss Paul Merson. The trial is thought to have come about thanks to Juninho, Merse’s former Middlesbrough team mate, who is friends with Caio. Fingers crossed.
