Stoke City's Harper misses out on Walsall reunion

Ex-Walsall winger Kevin Harper will miss the FA Cup clash 4th round between Stoke City and Walsall through injury. Harper has dislocated his shoulder and will be out of action for a month.

Harper spent two months on loan at Walsall back in January/February 2000 as Walsall were battling at the bottom of the then Division One (now thw Championship). Harper made 8 starts and 1 substitute appearance during his time at Bescot and was a big hit. He wanted to join Walsall and Ray Graydon wanted to keep him but Walsall being Walsall refused to make a cash bid for the player until it was too late. Portsmouth put a bid in and offered him a better financial package. He went on to make over 100 appearances for the south coast side.

This season he has made 17 appearances with the majority of the time him coming off the bench. His only goal of the season came in Augusts 3-1 home win against Norwich City.
