Accrington Stanley have lodged an appeal against the dismissal of striker David Brown in Saturday's vital 2-0 victory over Hereford United.
Brown, having already scored against his former club was later sent off for a late foul on Danny Thomas. This would see the striker miss the trip to Walsall on Saturday, but Accrington have attempted to get the decision overturned.
On Friday Stanley face a hearing to answer the League's charge of fielding ineligible players. If found guilty they could be deducted all the points gained while playing the players. This could be a total of 7 points and would leave them in the relegation zone.
