So, What happened to ERIC SKORA?

Last updated : 01 May 2006 By Andy Van Hagen
When injury cut short Eric Skora's loan spell, he returned to Preston North End soon became available for transfer. Paul Merson considered investing £50,000 of the Matty Fryatt money in the purchace of the Frenchman who impressed so much during his short spell at the club.

Skora also attracted interest from MK Dons as they looked to avoid relegation. Luckily for both League One clubs they missed out on securing his signiture and Eric returned to Kilmarnock, where he spent a loan spell back in 2004.

I said luckily, because since he has left Walsall the player has failed to play in a single game. So his 2005/6 season consisted of 5 games and 2 goals, all for Walsall.

It seems Walsall have seen the best of a player who has struggled throughout his career with injuries. Its a shame because the victory in November against Gillingham was the ERIC SKORA show. Since then, the show has been sidelined and luckily for us - not at our expence.

Here's hoping he returns to fitness next season.
