Skora loan terminated

Eric Skora's loan spell from Preston has been terminated as a result of the injury he picked up against Oldham.  The injury will not clear up in the next month and therefore his loan was terminated.  The spell was scheduled to end on January 14th but he will be out of action beyond that date.

Although his loan spell has come to an end it might not be the last we see of the Frenchman. Skora's contract is up at the end of the saeason and Preston are unlikely to keep him at this stage because of his injury record over the last two seasons.

It had been discussed that Skora would be used as a make weight in a Preston bid to sign Matty Fryatt but with Skora out injured during january this will no longer be a bargaining option.

Paul Merson has said he wouldnt rule out Skora returning in the future but this seems likely to be in the summer if anything.

So for now Skora is once more a Preston player and we wish him a speedy recovery and thank him for his efforts in a Walsall shirt, many if not all would agree he was a joy to watch.
