Sam Signs

Walsall today announced the signing of Trinidad and Tobago forward Hector Sam, who joins his fellow countryman Clayton Ince at the Bescot Stadium.

Sam has signed up initially for a year, we then have the option of a further season.

He first came to the English game when Wrexham paid San Juan Jabloteh £125,000 for his services. The striker went on to score 40 goals for the Racecourse Ground side and became a firm fans favourite in the process.

After featuring as a surprise trialist in Walsall's opening friendly against Halesowen. Sam then started in the fixtures against West Bromwich Albion and Manchester United XI. Despite not scoring in a Walsall shirt the striker has shown plenty of ability, but more importantly signs of forging an impressive partnership with fellow forward Martin Butler are well on the way.
