Sadlad's Away Day Preview - Northampton Town

Last updated : 19 February 2009 By Andy Van Hagen
We make the short trip to Northampton on Saturday- that makes a welcome change after the two previous long hauls to Hartlepool and Carlisle-hoping to add to our unbeaten run.

The Cobblers at Sixfields this season have been a hard
nut to crack and have only lost 3 league games out of 15 at home. In fact only Leicester,Oldham and Millwall have lost fewer games on home soil, only conceding 14 goals in the process. If it wasn't for their poor away form they would be a lot higher than their lowly 18th spot.

Our hosts have only been at the site since October
1994 and has a capacity of just 7,653 but following the club's successful bid to buy a 150 year lease on Sixfields they have announced the stadium is to be developed over 5 years when the capacity will rise to 15,000 with an hotel to be build on the site-where have we seen that before?!

As for the outcome of Saturday's clash I'm going to
stick my neck out and go for a 1-0 win to the Super Saddlers. We always have a chance of scoring with our newly-found 'any two from four' striking selection and another clean sheet is called for.

With this being such a short journey I'm hoping for a
good turnout and a noisy backing by Walsall fans who have some much-needed new belief under Chris and Martin.
