Saddlers sign Jones

Walsall have announced the signing of Steve Jones on a two year deal. He describes himself as pacey and can play on either flank, so will give manager Chris Hutchings vital options with what is likely to be a small squad next season.

Crewe picked Jones up from Leigh RMI after he enjoyed a 21 goal season, playing up front in 00/01. He went on to score double figures, three seasons in a row for Alex which alerted Burnley. While there, he had loan spells back at Crewe, Huddersfield and Bradford.
