Saddlers miss out on Ganea

Last updated : 29 June 2006 By Andy Van Hagen
Wolves striker Vio Ganea has signed for Romanian Uefa Cup entrants Dinamo Bucharest. He has signed a one year contract with an option for another twelve months.

Ganea was given a free transfer from Wolves because he and manager Glenn Hoddle did not see eye to eye. Ganea described Hoddle as the worst manager he has ever worked for.

Ganea is a striker that in reality Walsall did not have a chance of signing. In 43 games for his country he scored 18 times. It was rumoured that the striker did not want to leave his Wolverhampton home, but you would have to question the players motivation if he joined us over much bigger sides. Uefa Cup or Accrington Stanley and Boston United away!!? It's a no brainer!
