Saddlers live on Sky!!!!

Walsalls away trip to Merthyr Tydfil shall now be shown live on Sky TV with a change of date to Friday 4th November and a 19.45 kick off time to accomodate this. This means Walsall will recieve TV money, so even if the nightmare scenario does occur annd we get knocked out at least we would have recieved much more money out of it than we did last year! There is also a chance that BBC FIVE LIVE will also provide a commentry which will add further pounds to the piggy bank! The only downside to this is with it being a Friday match this will effect the attendance with few Saddlers fans expected to travel because of work commitments. This will be reflected in the gate recipts but with us having an away tie at non league opposition we shall come out of it rather well financially.

This will be our first TV appearence under Paul Mersons reign and hopefully we can put last seasons ghosts to rest.
