Saddlers given go-ahead to show 'V' sign to millions

Walsall Football Club have been given the go-ahead to erect a huge 'V' shape advertising hoarding overlooking the M6, with size dimensions of 35 metres x 12 metres and 30 Metres x 12 metres. Taking into account it's size, location and illumination make no mistake this is the new jewel in our crown.

The Fort Dunlop (3 junctions up) held billboard main players JCDecaux's most desirable location. With over five million vehicles driving past PER MONTH and commanding seven figure rental fees, our site near junction 9 will see the Banks's Stadium ad's attract the same revenue and interest.

This gives Walsall a big advantage over other football clubs particularly in League One and Two. Where we have fallen behind teams in the Championship and League One with attendances and the revenue's associated with, today's decision is somewhat of a leveller.

What will be interesting to see is if Roy Whalley will attempt to market these boards in-house, or will he get the professionals in, who come armed with a waiting list and who could really maximise the income of this.
