It will be a tricky draw for a likely young Saddlers side, who in previous seasons have both won and lost pre-season games at 'The Trevor Brown Memorial Ground' against Aspire Midland Football Alliance opposition.
This season the usual annual pre-season fixture did not take place so we can not look to that for reference. Last season Walsall provided the opposition in Boldmere's 125th Anniversary Match. Walsall won 2-1 on the night with a team that included Michael Ricketts, Mannie Smith, Nethan Sansara and Ishmel Demontagnac, the year befrore Boldmere took the win against a younger Saddlers side.
This season Boldmere have raced out the blocks beating Bridgnorth 3-0 away and Highgate United 5-0 at home. This weekend they travel to AFC Wulfrunians in the FA Cup.
