Walsall face Wigan at Bescot Stadium today hoping to continue their impressive home record which has seen them lose just once this season but face a Wigan side that has lost just 5 times in their last 65 games.

Walsall manager Colin Lee is hoping that Paul Merson returns to fitness after missing the last 2 games with a groin injury and Jorge Leitao is also hoping to be fit after missing Tuesday's win against Reading.

Walsall are certain to be without deputy goalkeeper Aaron Kerr (wrist). Saddlers have signed Leeds goalkeeper Shaun Allaway on a one-month loan deal and he is expected to be on the bench for today's game.

Wigan are the suprise leaders of Division One and their only injury concern (defender Ian Breckin) has been passed fit to play after picking-up a head injury in their game against Sheffield United on Tuesday night.
