Walsall have this week made enquires about signing Rotherham Uniteds ex-Liverpool right sided player Jon Osemobor. He is availiable on loan after failing to get regular first team action this season. It is believed that Rotherham boss Mick Harford will be willing to let the 22-year old to get some games under his belt. He is most comfortable with the right back position but has also played right wing in his career. Walsall see he as ideal cover for the right back position as Craig Pead still has two games of his three match ban to serve. He will also be able to fill the void left by the news that Mark Wright will be out for two months. It is more than likely that a clause will be put into the loan deal that prevents him playing against Rotherham when they visit on 26th November.

Osemobor left Liverpool in December 2003 after failing to break into Gerrard Houlliers first team. He made 4 league starts and 2 league cup starts in his time there. He enjoyed an 8 match loan spell with Hull in the 2002-3 season while also playing one game on loan at Bolton that year. He left Liverpool for Crewe where he spent last season making 15 appearences before linking up with Rotherham in the Summer. Since the move he has been unable to get many games under his belt with 6 of his 9 appearences coming off the bench.
