Walsall have signed 16 year old Tom Hayes from Quorn. The youngster only arrived at the club over the summer following his release from Leicester City.

The defender went to the County Ground and played in a number of games for the youth side, he impressed and was offered terms. This was rejected because Whiltshire was too far from his home.

Then Walsall stepped in and he played against Shrewsbury and Chester, two games the Youth team drew.

Hayes, despite being a Villa fan models himself on John Terry, and is quite talented having held the title of No.1 U15 Table tennis player. he also played Wicket Keeper for Leicestershire CCC U15's and Loughborough Carillon Old Boys
