Ruddy good loan signing for Walsall!

Walsall have today solved their looming goalkeeper crisis by signing John Ruddy on an initial one months loan from Everton.

Ruddy is currently a England under-19 team mate of Matty Fryatt and is an ex-Everton team mate of Daniel Fox and Anthony Gerrard. He also spent last season on loan with Cambridge Utd, for whom he turned out for 43 times. Despite their relegation he recieved good reviews.

John Ruddy is only 18 years old like Dean Coleman and Rene Gilmartin, but unlike our other young goalkeepers he has a full season under his belt already.

I think this is a good signing for us and i think John may be able to earn himself an extended stay at Bescot should his performances against Scunthorpe and Brentford be impressive. He would provide a stronger alternative option than Rene at this moment in time.
