Last updated : 28 April 2006 By Andy Van Hagen

Referee: Paul Taylor - NO NOT THAT ONE!! (Hertfordshire)

Assistant Referees: Simon Beck (Essex)
Assistant Referee: John Rowbury (Kent)

Fourth Official: Steve Rubery (Essex)

Paul Taylor began his refereeing career back in 1977 and progressed via the Isthmian League to The Football League as an assistant referee (then linesmen!) in 1986. He was promoted to referee status in the Football League in 1990. Games of interest he has officiated in are the 2004 play-offs where he was the referee, and the FA Trophy final in the same year where he was the 4th official.

This season has seen Paul Taylor take charge of 35 games, in which he has shown 92 yellows and 5 red cards. He hasn't taken charge of a Walsall fixture this season but he has taken charge of a Gillingham game - the 2-1 home defeat by Southend United in October.
