Of recent years Walsall and Hartlepool have not faced each other that often. Earlier this season the score was 1-1 where Chris Westwood, signed by Walsall from Hartlepool in the summer scored in both ends. Last season the 3-1 win at Hartlepool was the Julian Joachim show where he scored two and set one up.
Walsall have enjoyed a good run of results over Hartlepool of late. We have only lost one of our last 8 encounters. This of course will mean nothing once the 3pm whistle goes butwe need to continue this run of form for our play off aspirations to be maintained.
