Pär SIGNS!!!

Last updated : 29 November 2006 By Andy Van Hagen
As Walsall MAD revealed yesterday, Walsall have this morning announced the signing of Swedish striker Pär Cederquist.

The striker has signed a pre-contract 'Bosman' agreement which will see him join up with us officially on January 1st. Between now and then, the striker will train with us and play in behind closed doors matches, which will be specially arranged for his benefit.

It is clearly a signing that Richard Money is extreamly excited about. As Walsall MAD wrote yesterday, Pär Cederquist was the striker who Dickie Dosh tried to sign over the summer. Instead Pär joined Raufoss of Norway. You can see why our manager is pleased to get his man. In that spell in Norway the striker produced a return of 10 goals in 11 games, a formidable record at any level.

His recent career record:

2002 (IFK Värnamo)20 matches, 18 goals (Division 2 East Götaland)

2003 (Djurgården) 5 matches, 0 goals (Allsvenskan)

2003 (Åtvidaberg) 13 matches, 6 goals (Superettan)

2004 (Djurgården) 3 matches, 0 goals (Allsvenskan)

2004 (Öster) 17 matches, 12 goals (Superettan)

2005 (Öster) 28 matches, 11 goals (Superettan)

2006 (Öster) 12 matches, 1 goal (Allsvenskan)

2006 (Raufoss) 11 matches, 10 goals (Division 2, Norway)

Total: 109 matches, 58 goals (0,53 gls/match)
