Plymouth Want Saddlers Boss

A statement on the clubs official website confirms that the Pilgrims have approached Saddlers owner Jeff Bonsor about talking to Lee about the vacant managers job at Home Park.

"I have received a call from Paul Stapleton requesting permission to talk to Colin Lee," Bonser told the clubs official website, www.saddlers.co.uk

"I made it clear to him that the timing of his approach, at this crucial stage of the season, was diabolical. I would never inflict such disruption on another club.

"Nevertheless, the rumours that are circulating about Colin being linked with the Plymouth job, and the unsettling effect they can have on the club, make it essential that the situation is clarified.

"I have always had an agreement with every manager I have employed at Walsall that should there be an approach from another club, I would let them know and the matter would be left with them as to whether they wanted to enter into talks.

"Colin Lee has been informed of the approach from Plymouth, and the decision now rests with him whether he wants to talk to them."
