Paul Ince talks FA Cup

Paul Ince has been speaking to his club's official website www.mtfc.co.uk ahead of his first FA Cup tie as manager. The game is of course against the mighty Walsall FC and will be shown live on Sky Sports.

"I can't wait! It's the most famous trophy in the world. I've played in loads of games in the Cup and won it a couple of times with Manchester United and it really is a great competition. Obviously it's different from the league as the games are one-off's and with that comes the possibility for upsets, and giantkillings...it's a fantastic competition. It's also a good break from the pressures of the League and we'd love to win the game.

It's been a while since Macc have been on TV of course, and it's great for the players and of course it's great for the fans who can't make it. It's brilliant for Macclesfield as it can't do anything but raise the profile of the club in front of the country. It's a great occasion, but I'll tell the players that they need to keep playing, and doing what they've been doing and focus on the game. It's an added bonus, particularly as they know that it's not only fans watching, but Premiership players, and lots of world class players and managers will be able to see them and how they get on.
