Overall playing record for 8 April: Played 17, Won 6, Drawn 2, Lost 9, Scored 31, Conceded 26

Walsall havent played on April 8th since 2000 (The year we were relegated from the Championship). That day we went down 4-3 to Bolton Wanderers in a thrilling game.

In fact our last 6 games on this date have all been away from home, with 5 games out of 6 ending in defeat. But then the positive is that the 5 games prior to these where Walsall were been at home, have all resulted in Walsall being undefeated!!! The only other home game on todays date Walsall also won with a 5-0 win over Torquay.

So there you have it!! I have found my positive!! In history, Walsall have never lost on April 8th!! Now lets hope the lads keep this record going today, with us recording a fine win that will allow us to enter the remaining 6 games with a glimmer of hope.
