Nottingham Forest Winger signs for season

Last updated : 04 January 2006 By Andy Van Hagen
Nottingham Forest winger Kevin James has signed a season long term loan deal with the Saddlers.

Kevin James was one of the players transfer listed by Gary Megson at the end of last season. He has had his first team opportunities blocked this season and had been restricted to only one run out - the LDV vans defeat at Woking.

Kevin James born 26 march 1980 is a winger who despite his age has little first team experience. Infact he has only started 31 games and has had 39 substitute appearences during his career to date.

Merson wants players who are playing for their career and many will see this as James's last chance to progress. Walsall will become his 4th club in 5 1/2 years so he may be in the last chance saloon. Merson hopes that James will be playing for his future and to make sure he does not drop out of football.

Of course the synics might liken Kevin James to Joe Broard who is another player who is in his 20's but has limited first team experience.

The player is sure to be the first of many arrivals and expect many departures too as Merson starts a mini-revolution. He hopes that this will see a similar surge in form that saw his side win the last 5 games of last season.
