New Zealand Knights news

Every month on Walsall MAD we take a quick look at how former Walsall players Neil Emblen, Darren Bazeley and Danny Hay are doing with the New Zealand Knights. Despite a promising start to the season performance wise since the opening games it has been a big strugle for the New Zealanders. Sitting bottom of the table with only three points and with a goal difference of -19 this tells its own story. Actually the Knights are the only team in the league with a minus goal difference.

Unfortunately the defence is put under pressure by the strikers not scoring. They have only scored 7 times in 11 games, a problem which other teams dont seem to be having. Currently on a eight game pointless run the signs are not good.

Next up for the Knights is Perth Glory and Adelaide United. Currently 12 points adrift the team quite simply need to start picking up points, especially now the halfway point in the season has passed.

Neil Emblen has been out injured for nearly a month while Danny Hay and Darren Bazeley have been in the team consistantly.
