Walsall have confirmed the signing of 35 year old Tommy Mooney. The graduate of the Villa youth academy has had spells at Scarborough, Southend, Watford, Blues, Stoke, Sheffield United, Derby Oxford and Wycombe Wanderers in his career that has spanned 699 appearances.

After securing his signature  Richard Money said the player will have a major contribution both on and off the field.  Especially in the development of emerging talents like Troy Deeney.
