Mersons scan results back

Scans have revealed that Paul Merson has ruptured his groin muscle.  This does confirm he will be a long term absentee.  His age will slow the recovery process but the club are hopefull of him playing again around the new year.  The amount of time he faces out of action will become clearer later next week after the full extent of the rupture has been clarified.
