Merson's bid to sleep right

Paul Merson's return from his achillies injury is no nearer and the club have now looked at Mersons sleeping position in a bid to cure the injury.

"It's still sore. We think it might be something to do with the position I sleep in, so we're getting a cast made so I sleep without putting weight on the affected area."

Merson would have included himself in the visit to Swansea City on Tuesday if he was not ruled out through injury. But the new players he has brought in blocks his route to first team football. But with a number of them unavailable for the LDV might be the competition to include him in.
