Merson Going Nowhere

Merson, who is almost halfway through his two-year deal with the club as promised to see out the remainder of his contract even if Walsall drop into the second division.

"I don't want to be finishing my career in Division Two but if that comes to pass than what will be will be," said the current player-manager.

"I'm not going to run away and have a big ego, I've been through much worse in my career."
