Merson was expected to play against Chasetown last night in the Staffs cup as he builds up his fitness. merson reckons he could be able to play a part in first team fixtures in around three weeks. Merson is happy as its another squad member for the busy period but i think he would prefur if he wasn't needed. Since his injury youngsters have broken into the team such as Ishmel Demontagnac and Jay Stzybel while David McDermott has made subsitute appearences. It could be Jay and David play a part in the festive period rather than Merson himself, but the option is there.
