Merson Appointment Confirmed

The former England midfielder has been acting manager since the departure of Colin Lee last month and won his first game as boss against Rotherham on saturday.

It was not enough to keep Walsall in the first division however and he will begin life as Saddlers boss hoping for a promotion season in division two.
