On-loan Manchester City defender Clayton McDonald has told BBC Radio WM he is not ruling out the possibility of following in his father's footsteps by signing a permanent deal at the Banks's Stadium.
"It's a good club with good ambition, so I wouldn't rule it out,"
"We'll just hopefully see how it goes in the future."
This will only happen in reality if McDonald, who has captained the Premiership club's reserve side gets told by City manager Mark Hughes he has no futre at the City of Manchester Stadium.
Man City of course have millions to spend following take over and the first team future of their young stars in reserve could be blocked off by big money imports.
Clayton is currently in his third month on loan at Walsall but following injury he has found his path to first team football blocked by Walsall captain Mark Hughes and Mannie Smith (who was this weekend was linked to Nottingham Forest and West Bromwich Albion). In McDonald's abscence Walsall have embarked on a decent run and have only conceeded one goal in the last 3 games.
Since being at Walsall McDonald has made 8 appearances, with his last being in October when he was forced to leave the field injured.
