Loan Deadline Day Approaching

Last updated : 22 November 2005 By Andy Van Hagen
League clubs will be prevented from bringing players in on loan after Thursday 24th November at 17:00 GMT. Clubs will not be able to bring players in until January 1st 2006. Once the January 1st comes clubs will be able to sign players on pernament terms for one calender month and players will be allowed to be brought in on loan until the end of march transfer deadline.

The only exceptions to this deadline is teams being allowed to bring in goalkeepers in emergency circumstances and players already on loan can have their deals extended during the shut deadline. Players over 23 have a maximum loan duration of 90 days at one club. There is no maximum time period for players under 23 years of age.

In terms of Walsall we may consider bringing in a left winger or full back cover but I wouldnt be suprised though if James Constable was our last signing of the year.
