Jorge Leitao today took part in his first training session at his new club Beira Mar. Jorge picked up an injury in the 3-0 loss away at Bristol City and as a result he missed his farewell appearence against Barnsley on Saturday. Jorge will be looking to make his debut this weekend in the home fixture against Saint Clara who currently occupy a mid-table position.

Jorge joins Beira Mar with the objective of helping them win promotion back to the Super Liga at the first time of asking. He joins them at a good time with them currently sitting in top spot of Division One. Beira Mar have all the facilities of a Super Liga club and he wants to help the club return to where they belong.

Jorge has said that he is very happy to return to Portugal and play for a team with the history Beira Mar have. He also believes that the faster style of football that he is used to in England will help him in his return to his homeland. He also believes he returns to Portugal with a better all round game compared to when he left to join us.

Walsall MAD will be following his progress and reporting regularly. Everyone wishes Jorge all the best and every success.
