Leeds United have announced on their official website Walsall loanee Peter Sweeney has agreed to join the club. With terms agreed the only thing left to finalise is the medical and this will take place on Monday morning.
Sweeney will be re-united with former manager Wise for whom he played under at Millwall. After Walsall warmed up and the teams headed towards the dressing rooms on December 15th the two had a long chat, perhaps it was then a deal was sounded out?
He will join Neil Kilkenny at Elland Road to form a new midfield. Wise has said he plans to bring in many players during the window because the team started dropping points and they need a lift. They also have two Argentine international centre-backs trialling next week.
